You may think it’s easy being an almost-famous rock star dog, but I can tell you the real truth. Not only do I keep up a grueling road schedule, I’m still trying to learn all my manners at the Exmoor Training School. When mom feeds me right before we leave to go on the road, I get carsick. It wouldn’t be so bad except everyone thinks it’s all my fault and then I have to ride in the back. Sometimes I get a little stressed out and I can’t hold it, like when I peed on Ray Benson’s couch and it stank up the room. Granted, mom tried to save my pride, and hers, by covering it up with her notebook… but the worst happened.
Despite all this, I’m willing to go through the grunt work to live out my dreams. The most important thing to me is spending time with Mommy and Daddy, getting to visit my pals Pancho and Lefty at Hummingbird Farms, and getting treats from the Groovy Dog Bakery like the Elvis Presley Combo - cookie sandwiches with peanut butter and sliced bananas...yum-O! For a little fun, I’d like to have my own t-shirt and merchandise line. Being a band mascot has it’s perks, too, like kolaches from the Czech Stop in West and swimming in the mud at Larry Joe Taylor’s Festival.
Personal bits of Emmy: Birthday and place: 6/27/05 (I think), born somewhere south of Texarkanna on Hwy 79. Favorite Food: Hamburger and Rice Favorite Boyfriend of Mom’s: Luke Skywalker...he lets me sleep under the sheets! Band mascot? “Me, of course.”
